About the Builder
Born and raised in Webster, Texas, he completed high school at Clear Creek High and continued his education at Stephen F. Austin in Nacogdoches, TX. He soon after transferred to University
of Southeastern Louisiana where he would pursue a scholarship playing football. During his college years, he joined an apprenticeship program for Carpenters Local 1098. He remodeled mostly larger
commercial jobs for the carpenters union including Sears and J. C. Penney. He also worked for multiple plants in the south Louisiana region building scaffolds during turn arounds. He completed
the apprenticeship program at the age of 22, and became a Journeyman Class A carpenter.
In 1996, Eric Thompson became founder and owner of Thompson Restoration located in Baton Rouge, LA. He remodeled single family homes and renovated everything from fire damage to extensive hurricane damaged properties. He was one of 3 carpenters hand selected in 2004 by Steve Watson from the Discovery Channel's Monster House program to build a tree house for a child with leukemia in Louisiana. In 2007, Thompson Restoration moved back to the Clear Lake area. He specializes in many areas listed and has a long list of satisfied customers throughout the Gulf Coast region.
